TECH GIANT “PROUD” TO STEP UP, PRAISING “HIGH STANDARD” OF OUR EVENTS

Google have announced they are stepping up and joining the Graduate Fog Employers Club, our new coalition of fair and responsible employers of young people.

Kerry Lale, Tech Lead, Talent and Outreach Programs at Google – who has attended three of the Club’s four events so far – said:

“The Graduate Fog Employers Club is a fantastic initiative that Google is proud to have joined. We have been impressed by the high standard of the Club’s events, which present a unique opportunity to discuss hiring challenges and solutions with peers from other companies. We’re looking forward to partnering as we strive to build a more diverse and inclusive workforce together.”

EARLY ADOPTER: Kerry Lale represented Google at the Club’s spring and summer 2018 panel events, and joined our Club Members’ Winter lunch at the Ned in January 2019

In a further show of support, Amanda Timberg, Head of Talent and Outreach Programs — EMEA, at Google, will speak at the Club’s spring panel event in April, appearing alongside Priscilla Baffour (the Financial Times), Charlotte Carter (KPMG) and John Hynard (Royal Mail).

The panel event – strictly for Club Members only – is on Wednesday 3rd April (5-8pm) and will be hosted by Channel 4, at their HQ in Westminster. It will be attended by representatives from all our Club Members, including Channel 4, Virgin Money, the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, J. Walter Thompson, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, Harvey Nash and Cancer Research UK.

* WANT TO JOIN THE CLUB, AND COME TO OUR SPRING EVENT?
If you work in an HR role for a big UK employer and are proud of your record on recruiting, training and retaining young staff, we’d love to hear from you and set up a meeting. * GRADUATES – GOT A BURNING QUESTION FOR OUR MEMBERS?
We’ll always fly the flag for diversity and fair access, and push employers to do more to ensure their graduates are paid, trained and managed properly. But if there’s a topic you’d particularly like us to cover on 3rd April, let us know and we’ll make sure we ask them about it…
